Sleep comes poorly to Zelgadis now. Camping in the outdoors is easy. But inn mattresses sink uncomfortably and uselessly around his heavy body, leaving him lying on the bedframe.
Waking is worse though. There will be days when he feels sleep paralysis, like a weight is pressing down on his chest and he can't move, only to realize that it is merely the weight of his own body.
He doesn't know if he dreads these moments of half-asleep panic, or dreads their absence when his body has unconsciously adapted to its new state.
