Title: Tea at the Crossroads
Fandom: Slayers/Avatar: the Last Airbender fusion
Rating: G
Genre: Drama
Words: 2600
Notes/Warnings: This is technically written in the same universe as None So Blind, but all you really need to know about that fic is that the Avatar characters were their canon ages about a decade before Slayers present, and were born into the Slayers universe as normal members (as normal as Slayers characters get, at least). (There's also the passing mention of Zuko/Someone-probably-female.) Needs a spot-edit -- posting to get it up before the master list goes up.
I also wanted to have Zel get that (this universe's) Iroh was a distinguished sorcerer in his own right, or at least owned the shop he was running, but Iroh didn't want to talk about himself.
Summary: Zelgadis drifts into a teashop looking for a drink and a direction. Iroh gives him both.
Disclaimer: Slayers copyright Hajime Kanzaka/Rui Araizumi/Kadokawa/TV Tokyo/Medianet, Avatar: The Last Airbender copyright Michael Dante DiMartino & Bryan Konietzko/Nickelodeon, and this derivative work was created without permission.
( It was a bit after midafternoon when Zelgadis arrived, parched and dusty, in town. )
