fan_flashworks "Five Things" prompt, but posted late because it got HUGE.
For those who are coming in not knowing Kino's Journey, it's a series about a traveler and her talking motorcycle, living in a world full of city-states, at least half of which seem to be overt or secret dystopias. (Or maybe we just don't see most of the stories where Kino visits a place and nothing much happens). It's pretty much episodic.
For the three people who haven't seen Slayers, but are squeeing over the fact someone wrote something for Kino's Journey, Slayers is a light fantasy anime that varies from silly one-shot episodes to world-saving plots.
This is set in a series where Kino and Hermes gain the ability to travel between worlds, with glamours on Kino's guns and Hermes such that they don't draw attention to themselves. The thing is, I haven't written the first story yet that sets up the premise.
Summary: Over the years, Kino finds her path crossing another traveler's.
Disclaimer: Kino's Journey (Kino no Tabi) copyright Keiichi Sigsawa, Slayers copyright Hajime Kanzaka/Rui Araizumi/Kadokawa/TV Tokyo/Medianet and this derivative work was created without permission.
( As the bandits moved around in the underbrush outside her campsite, Kino sighed. )
