It was his first trip into the Earth Kingdom proper, and Zuko thought he might have gotten a better look at the place if he had returned as a refugee, rather than as Firelord. Right now, they were in some Earht Kingdom village for their celebration of Avatar Day, and he had been invited to march in their parade, as the great-grandson of Avatar Roku. He had noticed Aang standing near the back, on Appa and with Momo curled up on his shoulders. Katara and Toph were seated behind him, and Zuko realized he probably could have sit with them, as Aang's Firebending teacher. In front of him where a group of Kyoshi Island's warrior women, and he shifted uncomfortably -- he knew the Fire Nation had held some in miserable conditions, and he didn't know how they'd take the presence of a group of Fire Nation soldiers at their backs.
He thought it might be best to handle things directly, so he waved off his guards, and strode forward, to signal the nearest warrior. "Excuse me..." he paused, confused. "Sokka? What are you doing in that getup?"
It was hard to tell beneath the makeup and headdress, but it did appear to be the Water Tribe warrior. "Listen, Suki was short a person, so she asked me to fill in," he hissed. "Keep it down, all right? No one's supposed to know I'm not a Kyoshi Warrior."
"All right," Zuko said, trying to stifle a laugh. "Take me to your commander then, Kyoshi Warrior."
