Originally, I had planned on doing a whole series of 'Cast of Culture Shock goes to the RenFaire'. Or at least one big picture with stuff going on in the background. Sadly, my sketchbook was not up to the size of the picture, and I wanted to keep it traditional media.
A lot of RenFaires I've been to embrace the fact many of the visitors are also fantasy fen. So, while you might get the normal archaic weapons, there's also some special ones that look familiar. Meinji happened to find a set in his quest to prove himself better than Tadashi.
I was also originally going to put some cameos of MAXers' characters signature weapons, but most of them didn't turn out. The bat'leth is mostly because any such shop should have one.
