Jeff, after shedding his jacket and shoes and rolling up his pant legs, was picking over the fragments of the Sky Runner that the waves had yet to bury.

"Jeff!" Paula called from her spot on the picnic blanket. "Come enjoy the beach. It's such a change from Winters. There's color, for one."

"Winters' skies and waters are as blue as Summers'."

"When it's not snowing and gray." Paula picked up a handful of sand, letting it run through her fingers. "You can't tell me that this isn't beautiful."

"Yeah, sure. Too hot, though."

I love this! I didn't know anyone was writing in the Earthbound fandom this long after the game's release. May I friend you? I'm interested in some of your other tags, as well--I have the Spock Prime fic up in another tab.
